Under the aegis of MICA, the Murid community in New York and vicinity will be celebrating the Magal of Touba on February 26th, 2008 at the Residence Serigne Touba located at 137th Street and Edgecombe Avenue in New York.
The whole Muslim community is invited to the celebration of the most important day of the Murridiya’s event calendar (Refer to article on the History of the Magal); for it was the day the Sheikh signed and sealed the pact with Allah (SWT) which took him to exile ( Gabon, Mauritania, Thieyene) and to all its corollaries. It is also the day the Sheikh was granted, by Allah (SWT), with all he ambitionned and aspired to, in terms of sainthood, spiritual ranks and loftiness,in this world and the hereafter.
