Serigne Mame Mor Mbacke Ibn Serigne Mourtada Mbacke annual visit to the US, organized by MICA ( Murid Islamic Community in America) is to begin July 19^th, 2008. His arrival is to be considered as the first step marking the beginning of Shaykh Ahmadu Bamba Cultural Weeks in NYC, and other cities throughout the US.This 2008 edition will be celebrated especially for it marks the 20^th anniversary of this event since July 28^th was recognized as Cheikh Ahmadu Bamba Day in the city of New York thanks to the relentless and unequaled diplomatic talents of the late Cheikh Mourtada Mbacke Ibn Khadimu-r-Rassul who was the beacon, in his lifetime, of Islam and the Muridiya
