Dear Brother /Sister in Islam

During its four years of existence, Sopey Cheikhul Khadim, Inc. better known as “DAARA JI” has been successful in providing many services highly demanded by members of the Senegalese community. These services are not only limited to the Senegalese community residing in New York and vicinity, but also to the Senegalese Murid Diaspora in the United States and around the World. It is a place cherished by many in the community and deserved to be preserved in the new developing landscape of Harlem and the development of Muridiyya in North America.

Sopey Cheikhul Khadim is a not-for-profit organization whose mission is to spread the teachings of Shaykh Ahmadu Bamba, founder of Muridiyya, according to the Quran and the Sunnah. As such its goals in the short terms, as many they could be, have received the deserved attention in their achievements SCK is very thankful to all who contributed, directly or indirectly, to make such achievements possible.

Among its achieved goals are: a Front Store that carries a variety of religious articles; Quranic School for children and adults, Broadcasting Weekly Religious Radio Program; a Web Site to reach out and bridge Murid communities around the world; a Multi Service Centre to reach and satisfy the many needs of community members. SCK has been the humble financial coordinator of The TOUBA EID PRAYER PLACE BIULDING PROJECT started in 2008. SCK also serves as a Daily Prayer Place, a Community Centre and Information Centre for all Muslims. More projects are under way or awaiting realization, such as running a Solidarity and Mutual Help Box; the English Translation of some of the Shaykh’s books through SCK label and Publishing Company, a Day Care Centre for our children etc...in the long run.

Such projects could not be achieved without your support and help which is and will be necessary in keeping SCK or DAARAJI going and able to deliver maximum services to all its members without distinction.
